Lookout Summer is almost here!
Finally the weather is finally getting warmer and summer is nearly here. By getting organised now you will be able to make the most of your time during the warmer weather months. Here are some of our favourite warm weather activities:
Camping
Think ahead and maybe finally give
camping a try; we suggest going somewhere locally if you haven’t been before with lots of amenities and fun things to do with the kids. We always like camping near the water. This way the kids can play all their favourite
watersports and of course it wouldn’t be a camping trip without some
fishing.
It is important for everyone to get a good night’s
sleep when camping otherwise no one will be enjoying the trip. We recommend a good size
tent with plenty of room for everyone; also consider creating some additional living space outside the tent with a heavy duty
annex mat and even an
awning for some shade.
Don’t forget to take mozzie spray or even one of our awesome Bug
Zapping racquets to get rid of those pesky flies and mozzies.
Beach
We always have a beach bag ready to go with some of our frequently used items such as sunscreen, swimmers and towels plus a few of the kids favourite
inflatable toys. As the sun is Australia is so strong it is important to be covered up so we use gazebo or
beach tents as much as possible.
The beach life just makes it easier to relax and have a laugh with the kids. We always enjoy a day at the beach and having a family game of cricket or
soccer.
Picnics
When everyone is enjoying the outdoors we all seem to get extra hungry; be sure to pack lots of yummy and food and drink to keep everyone fueled for play. We recommend investing in a good
picnic set or even a portable
fridge to keep all your drinks and food cold for the day.
We also love the portable
picnic tables as they are perfect for the beach, grass or even the boat and so handy having your food and
drinks away from ants and sand.
